Feeling safe in the Navy? Think again!

With acting Army Secretary Pete Geren testifying before Congress today that the Army is considering extending once again the combat tours of its soldiers. They are considering relying more heavily on Army reservists or Navy and Air Force personnel.

I can see Navy or Air Force enlisted personnel thinking they were safer and thankful for joining the those services, instead of the Army, as it allowed them to stay out of the battle within Iraq. Now however, that game may be changing. If there is any hint that other Armed Forces may be called into the conflict on the ground, you will see the recruiting figures to take a big hit in those areas as well. It wasn't enough to break the Army and the Marines, now they want to break the Navy and the Air Force to "complete that mission".
