Zogby poll cites majority support impeachment

Link
A new poll out today by Zogby International cites that a majority of Americans favor impeaching President Bush over the wire tapping of Americans if he wiretapped without a judges approval. The poll found that 52% of respondents agreed with the statement: "If President Bush wiretapped American citizens without the approval of a judge, do you agree or disagree that Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment."

Poll numbers regarding impeaching Clinton were much lower and this new poll shows Americans are not buying Bush's outrageous claims that he has the power to wiretap Americans without a warrant. In a Zogby poll conducted June 27-29, 2005 of 905 likely voters, 42 percent agreed and 50 percent disagreed with the identical statement asked about in this recent polling. How about if the poll asked: Do you think President Bush should tap calls between suspected terrorists and persons located in the U.S. even if he doesn't have a judge's permission?

Maybe Zogby needed some publicity.
