Suggestion for Gulf Oil spill containment
Ok, I decided to throw my suggestion up on the web. It isn;t a pretty picture above but you get the idea. The only other addition I would make to this suggestion is that the plastic or heavy canvas needs to be anchored to the Ocean floor and the top of it needs to be connected by those yellow booms they are using now to surround the oil on the surface of the ocean. Add any ideas you have here in the comment link below or comment about mine.

I believe that with the depth and actual amount of oil being released that you would need thousands of ships and still would not to capture yet but a fraction of the amount released. Will agree and say that ANY amount reclaim is a positive.
This is a comment from a friend of mine named Enrique:
"I SAID IT BEFORE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, THE SOLUTION IS TO CRIMP THE PIPE. REQUIRED ARE TWO STEEL BEAMS CONNECTED BY HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS, WHICH WHEN PRESSURIZED WILL PULL THE BEAMS TOGETHER, THUS CRIMPING THE PIPE. THEN IT CAN BE CAPPED OR BURIED UNDER A CONCRETE COFFIN."
Thanks Enrique!
