Rep. Dennis Kucinch defies Pelosi and introduces Articles of Impeachment against President Bush

Rep.Dennis Kucinch (D-OH), former Presidential candidate, took the extraordinary step on Monday to read Articles of Impeachment against President Bush in a move to defy the will of Nancy Pelosi, who has said "impeachment is off the table." Many are scoffing at Kucinch's move but I for one applaud the move and it raises the question as to the complicity of the Democrats with the Bush Administrations record on torture and violation of the Constitution with illegal wiretapping of its citizens.

I for one had hoped the Democrats would have kept their oath of office in protecting the rights of citizens by ensuring the Constitution is not violated by this President or any future President by bringing impeachment charges on this President. If not for these High Crimes and Misdemeanors by this President and Vice President, then what Crimes more deserve this action. I applaud Rep. Kucinich's actions and those who have also supported this action; Rep. Wexler of Florida and Rep. Conyers of Michigan.

Maybe you applaud Dennis Kucinich but I’m betting you don’t live in his congressional district as I do. Let me inform you from firsthand experience that Rep. Kucinich is a total & complete (yes I know its redundant) failure to his district. While he’s been on his constant egotistical runs for the Democratic nomination that he knew he had no chance of winning he left his district & his constituents to languish in the backwaters while he jetted around the country appearing on all the news shows and some late night TV programs too. He’s wasted millions of tax payer dollars to fund his own ego while neglecting the real reason he was elected to the house which is help Ohio’s 10th district, something he apparently forgot about. Now he’s off and running with this silly impeachment thing with only one goal in mind “More National Exposure” to feed his ever hungry craving for the limelight. He is not a patriot. He’s just a little man trying to make himself look bigger. He needs to start paying attention to us, the constituents of his congressional district and quit trying to become a TV star.

Jim, that's a shame. He should be working for his constituents. But sometimes there really are larger issues and whether it took him to be the one to initiate Articles of Impeachment or it takes someone else, it is the right thing to do for the country. That is even if nothing is done. It is on record that at least some are thinking the Bush Administration was responsible for major violations of the Constitution. Sorry he's not working for his District but there is a remedy, have him removed and someone else voted in his place.
