The McCain/Sarah Palin strategy:Outrage in the absence of attacks

I have been listening to as many different opinions in the media about McCain's choice of his VP, Sarah Palin. And today I have heard mostly from Republican politicians and strategists that the media and Democrats are unfairly attacking Gov. Palin being a Mom and also VP. As far as I can tell, no one on the main St. media nor any Democrats interviewed ever said such a line. But it seems in the absence of attacks on those topics the Republicans have coordinated their talking points to pretend there are attacks and attack back. What a waste of time at a time when we need to be deadly serious about the future of our country. It is more important to talk about the real issues! Who is going to get our economy back on track and create jobs? Who is going to get us out of Iraq responsibly? Who is going to help us stop Global warming and protect the planet with alternative energy? Who is going to get the debt paid off and make Social Security whole again Who is going to make sure everyone is insured in America? Who is going to protect a woman's right to choose what she wants to do with her own body?

So let's not hear the outcry of the Republicans and preach to us this week their piety about issues we could care less about.

Amen! Both Republican candidates have MAJOR value issues that slap in the face of most of America. I have heard nothing but attacks coming from the republicans, and thank God the dems are sticking to the issues (thanks Obama for keeping it real on the serious issues facing the American family) Palin reminds me of Dick Chenny, bullying and refusing to take responsibility for her actions.

I am OFFENDED by her sarcasm about grass root movements and no-profit organizations. It struck me as if she was mocking me, the average American, trying to make a difference.

Also the fact that she wants to set women's right back 35 yrs is outrageous, and the gall of her calling herself a feminist, makes me sick to my stomach. The fact that if Mc Cain dies, she will make it so NOBODY can decide how many mouths they can afford to feed, bothers me greatly.

Let's face facts guys, with the dollar plummeting, and inflation making everything unaffordable, while our wages stay the same, and our health insurance and pensions vanish, now, more than EVER, American's need something different than an administration that voted 90 percent of the time for BUSH politics. THIS IS BUSH GUYS...Mc Cain is BUSH..period.

Thanks for your comment Sarah. I agree with everything you said. Don't lose faith. If we give McCain and Palin enough rope they will surely tie themselves in knots. It will be a close election unfortunately but all the more reason to be speaking up now while it matters. Keep doing what you are doing Sarah! Thanks!
