What should be done and Who should do it regarding China's defective and dangerous products?

Should Toy makers like Mattell be responsible for fixing these problems or should the Federal or State government be responsible or should China be held responsible? The answer is none of these should be. These problems can be solved easily. Throw away the toys and do not buy any other products from China. Take out a law suit against Toy makers and sit back and watch what happens. Buy only Made in U.S.A.! Problem solved. Don't you just love the free enterprise system?!

Only one problem. Try to find virtually anything you use that is still made in the USA.

After I realized that China did not have the same lead paint standards as the US I went through all of my dishware. The only plates and cups that I own that weren't made in China are over 30 or more years old and passed down from Mom.

The US government, including Reagan, Bush 1.0 and 2.0 as well as the Clinton administrations have done a great job of making sure that virtually nothing is made in America. In fact, you probably have to be my age to remember that old commercial by the garment workers union to look for the "Made in the USA" label. They warned us!
