I'm back!

Hi everyone. I am sorry I haven't posted anything this past 10 days as I was back east and was busy with family. I will resume my posting on a more regular basis. Thanks for your visit.

This morning CNBC had the head of VISA on their show talking about their new Digital Wallet which will make charging easier and the use of the actual Credit Card to fade over time in favor of the digital phone embedded chips or software. However, that was not what caught the most of my attention. When Mark Haines asked him his view on the Consumer and the economy he said, we are still in a slow recovery, with the emphasis on the word "slow". Then he elaborated on what he meant. He said that while the economy has not lost ground but it is barely advancing. So when you hear from Bernanke say we have "moderate" growth, substitute the words, "slow to non existent!" That was the most accurate pronouncement I have heard to date in describing this stagnation.

You can try and blame the President but if you miss blaming the Republicans, you have your head in the sand. They have tried to stop this President at every turn. They want to cut spending drastically, but not invest in anything that would create real stimulus and jobs. That's the jam we are currently in. Heck, many didn't even give any praise to our President for getting Bin Laden. But enough on that for now. It's good to be back!

President Obama does what President Bush couldn't do, find and kill Osama Bin Laden!

What a terrific day it is with Osama Bin Laden getting his due justice for our 9/11 attack of the World Trade Towers. I must make a political statement about this today. So here it is:

From Sept. 11th 2001 until the election of President Obama, 8 years went by. The news reports that it was 5 years ago that the compound was built in Pakistan, which was where Bin Laden was hiding. Then President Obama was elected with the worse financial fiasco since the Great Depression and not only has President Obama saved us from a Depression, but under his leadership and direction, our forces were able to kill Bin Laden too. God Bless President Obama, the soldiers who went on the mission to kill Bin Laden, but also all the men and women serving our military and their families. I also want to song the praises of Leon Panetta, as head of the CIA for the fine work and of all our intelligent services

Apathy of the American voter: Will this time be different?

Only 55% of the eligible voters in the U.S, actually vote. Can you believe that something as important as who will be our next President and the person who decides whether we are allowed to exercise our Constitutional freedoms (or not, as in the case of Bush/Cheney) and only 55% go vote. You see the problem my friends isn't just the Republicans or the Democrats. It's the people who could care less to vote and it turns out they represent almost half of us. This means that about 26-27% of the entire voting age public (52% of actual voters for one Party to win vs 48% of the other Party) will be the "deciders". We promote democracy everywhere around the world, except here at home. Some countries make it mandatory to vote. I'm not sure that is any better than not voting. Must things get far worse to wake these people up? How could they get any worse? Oh, I forgot, Bush and Cheney still have almost 5 months to do more damage, if that's possible. God help us all.

You think I am kidding? The Bush/Cheney duo almost decided the Pakistani Presidency today in favor of our enemies, by sending U.S. forces by using helicopters into the rugged region of Pakistan adjoining Afghanistan. It seems Bush wants to capture Osama Bin Laden in his final months and most likely knows where he has been hiding all along. It almost worked, but while the Pakistani people were very angry at our intrusion to their sovereign country they also seem pretty smart and still voted for Bhutto's husband, a friend of the U.S. But Bush almost turned the whole country against us by this latest unannounced move into the rugged mountains of Pakistan. Why would he do that? Bush wants to have an October surprise so that the Republicans, under John McCain can get re-elected in November. If that is true, think about how many waisted lives he has lost in Iraq and the cost to our treasury of Trillions of dollars. Then ask yourself should the Republican Party be rewarded this November. I think not! If he knew where Osama was and didn't even pursue him these last 7 years, shame on him for using him as a political trophy to capture at the most convenient time, while many of our soldiers are fighting an elective war of choice that should be stopped.

So this election period, let's have "New Rules" as Bill Maher would say. If you don't vote, you can't complain after the election or you will be thrown into jail and the key thrown away, with the only possibility of parole if more than 75% of the public votes in any election.

Who'd have believed it: Bush and Bin Laden on the same side

After listening to excerpts of the tape by Osama Bin Laden today, it is obvious that both Bush and Bin Laden want us in Iraq to continue the fight there. It is a great recruiting tool for Bin Laden and for this President it continues his denial of the truth, and keeps us fighting so that someday history will say it was someone else's fault the war was lost.

Even Osama knows the truth about the Democrats. It was like a sharp stick in the eye to them. Unfortunately the cowards that occupy those elected seats are afraid to not pass the supplemental bill the President has asked for, $50 Billion more to be exact, and will supply the money to continue the war and the exploitation by contractors like Haliburton and others sucking us dry. You wan't this war over? Stop passing the money bills or face defeat in the 2008 elections. We have all had enough of this hypocrisy.

President Bush's colonoscopy results

Well, it's official. After performing the colonoscopy on President Bush, doctors reported finding those elusive Weapons of Mass Destruction, along with an old Richard Clarke briefing titled, " Bin Laden's plan to attack the U.S."

U.S. Fatalities for the first week in April

U.S. Military fatalities for the first week in April totaled 28. On a Monthly basis this would equate to about 112. Compared to the previous month, March had 24 fatalities, as I reported in my post titled, "U.S. Fatalities for the 1st week in March 2007".

U.S. Fatalities
For the entire month of April 2005 a total of 52

For the entire month of April 2006 a total of 76

Projected from data for the first week we are on our way to 112 for the month of April, 2007.

Let's see how good your math is. For the same month, If we had 52 in 2005, 76 in 2006 and are on our way for 112 for 2007, does this show that things are getting better or worse? If you guessed worse you are correct. President Bush, VP Cheney and now Senator John McCain and Senator Joe Lieberman think things are getting better. They must have done poorly in Math too, as we knew and have been reminded quite often that Bush has no command of English either. Someone investigate what is being taught at Yale please. Maybe that is why Bush pushed “No child left behind”, as he would have been left behind, if they had standards and exams for professors and teachers when Bush was getting his education. Check into his Elementary school too, which was Sam Houston Elementary School in Midland, Texas. as maybe they didn't have standards for teachers there either. Something has to explain his poor use of the English language. He must have done poorly in Civics as well or wouldn't have trashed the Constitution so easily and so often.

Oh, and we had 7 U.S. Contractors killed in Afghanistan which are not counted nor kept track of by the media and Department of Defense. This compares to only 2 in March and 1 in February of this year. Still think things are getting better. Let's stop this useless war, which was started on lies and reasons no longer valid, otherwise blood will be on your hands too for not speaking out to stop the war! Saddam has been removed from power and is dead but apparently Osama Bin Laden lives. Go figure.
