Passing the Healthcare Insurance reform Bill and the hypocrisy of our elected officials.

On the very moment of this historic Healthcare Insurance reform vote, I thought about the hypocrisy of our so called leaders in Washington. I won't name names, or Parties as to who is to blame but here's my 2 cents worth. In the last decade we faced many challenges as Americans. The issue was for all Americans to support the Government as there were threats from abroad, specifically Al Qaeda, And to do this by allowing your government to wiretap your phones unlawfully and to give this government broad powers as we were at war. We now know they at least misled us, if not blatantly lied to us. Those who supported the government back then are the same voices telling us today NOT to trust healthcare to the government, even though this bill allows the Health Insurance companies to have major control of healthcare insurance payment management. I am glad enough of the legislature has put aside their objections to enact this Bill today. I only wish we had a yearlong debate and vote as to whether we should have invaded Iraq. Any Amen's out there are most welcome in the comment section. :) This is a historic vote. IT IS A HISTORIC VICTORY FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA

Headline reads, "$14B auto bailout dies in Senate." What a shame.

Part of the breaking news story said " Sen, Harry Reid called the bill's collapse "a loss for the country," adding: "I dread looking at Wall Street tomorrow. It's not going to be a pleasant sight." Early overseas stock market reaction is as follows. The Hang Seng index is now down 1000 points and the Nikkei is down almost 500 points.

So here we are and the collapse of the Auto Industry loan, and I stress the word "loan", got whacked by Senate Republicans this evening. We still have the politics of the past from the remaining Republican Senators like Mitch McConnell, John Ensign, Bob Corker, Richard Shelby and others who are willing to allow hundreds of thousand of people to loser their jobs which is most likely to cause additional foreclosures over a few Billion dollars because of their so called "principles". If so, why did they pass a $700 Billion bailout of Wall St. without any such concerns. It is hypocritical and shamelessly without compassion during their declared, most important religious holiday for the Christian Right of the Republican Party, Christmas. We now know who the Grinches are, Republican Senators who need to be removed from the Senate next election. I am appalled at what I have just witnessed. I will tell you this, they are playing with fire and this lack of compassion for the people is what can trigger riots in the streets.

I hope you can see the inequity here and the hypocrisy of their position. $14 Billion versus a Trillion dollar bailout so far without any strings attached for the Banking and Insurance system. It doesn't even count the $12 billion a month we are spending in Iraq and all the Trillions this Administration poured down the drain in putting us into debt our children and their children will have to pay off. Disgraceful!

Rev. Pat Robertson endorses Rudi. Why?

Why did Pat Robertson endorse Rudi Giuliani for President? It is obviously NOT because Rudi dressed in Drag a few times. It is obviously NOT because of his pro-choice earlier position. So what is it? It's most likely because Rudi is the Warrior candidate of both Political Party's and the one candidate most likely to get us to the great battle of Armageddon, which most Christian Fundamentalist preachers and their flocks want to create, so that they can get to see God sooner. They are the Muslim world's reason for being so radical. They see this as a campaign started by the "Crusaders". And you know what, they are right as these Right Wingnuts are not interested in keeping the world whole, but rather in destroying it for all the evil they see everywhere.

If there ever where a reason NOT to vote for Rudi, we just got it! Do us a favor would you Pat? Stay out of politics with your hypocrisy!

"Values Voters" for Pro Life but also for the Iraq War. Is this hypocrisy?

Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council, said in a CNN interview this morning that Value Voters, presumably of the Christian Right of the Republican Party, can't support a candidate that isn't Pro Life. Well Mr. Perkins, can't you see the hypocrisy of your stand when you and others of the Christian Right are also Pro War by supporting this Iraq war and this President. It's time to take a look at your standards under the light of day. The media has given all of you a free ride, just as they did with President Bush and the Administration in the lead up to the war in Iraq.

The media is afraid of you and your power. But when you or your supporters come out as being Pro Life, someone needs to challenge you and the hypocrisy of your position. If you were people of peace, I wouldn't be so alarmed. There's no free ride here. I call it like I see it.
