Classification of Earthquakes here

The earthquake occuring in Japan as first reported is a 7.8 quake. This is considerd a Major quake. The Classification of quakes are as follows:

Micro 0-3
Minor 3-3.9
Moderate 4-4.9
Strong 6-6.9
Major 7-7.9
Great 8 and higher
