What will be the message contrast between the Republican and Democrats Convention?

The week of the Democratic Party Convention is coming to a close. What take aways did people get from the Convention and how will they differ from what comes out of the Republican Party Convention? Well I for one saw the Democratic party Convention focus is all about "people", specifically the Middle Class and their struggles during the past 8 years of the Bush Administration and their down right focus on the wealthy few, to receive the benefits from their policies.

What do I expect to hear from the Republicans next week? Honestly, I am not sure. But if they follow the previous Republican Party Convention goers and their TV audience, they will put the focus on Barack and attacking everything they can think of about him. They will talk about "money", because that is what is important to them; how much they have, how much they want, less government in our lives and to promote the security of our country from the "evil" ones, through the fears they will conjure up, stating that the Country will be at risk under a Barack Obama Presidency. They will use fear in every form and contrast that to the "hope" of the Obama message.

I might be wrong here but I don't think by much. It is obvious that the Democrats are for uniting people at this historic moment and anniversary of both Martin Luther King speech "I have a dream!" and the three year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the abysmal response of the Bush Administration in the aftermath even to this day.

Hillary, Hillary, where were you during the Primary!

What a speech last night at the Democratic Convention. I have never heard her speak like that and she moved the Convention Hall and the Party to Unity. For the first 5-10 minutes I wondered if it was going to be another speech about Hillary, but then as magical and as smooth as one could do she brought it seamlessly to total support for Barack Obama. It was as skillful as the master himself, her husband Bill. It will be remembered long from now at future Party gatherings. I would not want to be her husband tonight, as she is an impossible act to follow.

The party IS united now and can make the distinctions clear between the Bush/McCain plan for the future and the Democratic Party's with Barack Obama and Joe Biden's leadership. Now it's up to all of us to Vote in 2 months.

There's a caution sign for Hillary at the Democratic Convention

That's right, Hillary must be cautious her supporters don't take her future away by antics she would not want to take place. Movements can get away from those they are supporting without the leader being aware of it until it's too late. if things are discordant at the Convention, it is Hillary that has everything to lose, not Barack. People won't forget what happens here when we vote next time for President in 2012. It is the Clinton name on the line this week.

All Democrats want to win the Presidency and stop the policies of George Bush, none more so than the Clintons. She is going to need her loyal staff supporters to help her and Bill get through this without damaging the Clinton Brand. And you can count on Republican dirty tricks to try to create some discord, as witnessed by the latest ad of John McCain asking why Hillary wasn't chosen as VP. There are even so called "Independents" there with Hillary signs lamenting the situation and carrying Hillary signs. Don't be fooled by the distractions and circus outside the Convention .

Hillary's up to no good!

Hillary said today that she might take the issue of seating the delegates from Florida and Michigan and was willing to have a floor fight at the Democratic Convention. Hillary wants a floor fight all right, but not to just seat thew delegates from Michigan and Florida., she wants to win the nomination and take it away from Barack Obama and will try to play Hardball at the Convention by getting Super Delegates to consider changing their minds and support her. This has the look and feel of a a food fight by Hillary and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore and other Super Delegates need to nip this in the bud before the Democrats lose the election in the Fall. That would be a real tragedy and I would not put it past Hillary and Bill Clinton. It's time for the Clinton dynasty to fold the tent gracefully. But we all know that won't happen, will it.

Emotions on the rise as Democratic race heads towards a Train Wreck. Read why!

Over at The Moderate Voice today there is a good post on the potential Train Wreck that can happen in the Democratic race for President at the Convention, written by Robert Stein. I strongly suggest a visit there by clicking here.

Bloomberg speculation mania and what it means

The latest buzz about the possible Presidential bid by Bloomberg as a third party candidate makes one thing very clear; no one candidate has enough support for President yet to ward off newcomers. The American public hasn't digested Giuliani's entrance into the race and his quick gain over McCain. Then add the recent announcement of Fred Thompson throwing his hat into the ring, and the fact that he hasn't got enough appeal to garner enough support to ward off newcomers. Now Bloomberg, with his $Billions can easily invest $500 Million for his bid for President and never be specifically beholding to special interest groups that he isn't already a beholden. As the polls have indicated each candidate will have about 20-25% of the maximum voters supporting them, with many in the single digits like Ron Paul. Therefore, the key to winning the Party's nomination is in how well they can put together a unique Strategic Plan given the following scenario.

There will not be any clear winners in either party during the Primary process and this means that the candidates for President for each Party will most likely be decided by the "delegates" to the respective Party Conventions, and not directly by the American people. Unless someone emerges to have at least 40% of the vote, it will be an inconclusive Primary with a majority of big States holding their primaries in February. Some of the bigger names like Hillary and Rudy could possibly win some large States, while lesser candidates gain delegates from smaller States. What's key to a winning strategy? It is at the Conventions of each Party, working the floor at the Convention and wooing delegates to turn their loyalties. To do that you need a strong political machine. Currently that puts Hillary in one of the seats and no one candidate in the Republican Party has the machine at this time other than surprisingly, Mitt Romney, even though his numbers are not leading in Polls. Bloomberg will be on the ticket no matter which candidate is put up by each Party. So right now it looks like Hillary for the Democrats, Bloomberg and either Romney or Thompson fro Republicans. Conservatives will not embrace Rudy. So 2 of the three Presidential candidates will be from NY no matter what happens. There will be very interesting Conventions, more along the lines of in the old days where there was uncertainty as to who the candidates for each Party would be. But again, the problem is that it's more like horse trading than consensus building. The winners in those events are the candidates. The losers are the American people. And this is what we call democracy that we want to export to the rest of the world. I am strating to like other systems that seem to work better than ours. Several examples of working Democracies are India, Israel and another is Great Britain., each having its own uniqueness and different from ours, but worth looking into at least to educate oneself. But that is for a different time and I have no idea, as to what would be better system now, but the whole world needs us to put up our best person for President, not our worst, like we did in the last election.
